Harris, Gabriel Harris

Gabe HarrisGabriel Harris is a performing, recording, and teaching percus-sionist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He currently tours internationally with his mother, Joan Baez, as well as French sensation Marianne Aya Omac. Gabriel is also the founder and Director of Rhythm Village, who provide African and other indigenous music and dance for performances and experiential learning.
Gabriel has appeared on stage with such notable acts as: the Grateful Dead, the Mickey Hart Band, Carlos Santana, the Indigo Girls, Emmylou Harris, Jackson Brown, the Pete Escovido Latin Jazz Ensemble, Babatunde Olatunji, Gilberto Gil, Milton Nascimiento, Inti Illimani, and many more. Through Rhythm Village, he has produced and performed in events for such organizations as: Genentech, Cisco Systems, Kaiser Permanente, PIXAR , Young Presidents Organization, LOHAS, SIGGRAPH, and many more.
