Dye, Risa Dye

Dye Risa Lenore Anderson Dye is a creative and enthusiastic instructor, with more than 10 years of experience as an educator, and even more as a self-trained visual artist of many mediums. At Beloit College in Wisconsin, she studied improvisational theatre, choreography, installation art and experimental performance. She is a trained professional children’s entertainer and early childhood educator. She has dabbled in aerial dance, circus arts, Noh theatre, stage acting and various forms of dance. Through these explorations, she discovered her love for ensemble devised theatre and storytelling and wanted to dive deeper. Risa completed the professional course at Jacques LeCoq’s International school of Theatre in Paris, France where she studied physical theatre, experimental set design and movement. She then went on to be a costume designer for several small theatre companies throughout the bay. She has always loved making things, painting, drawing, collage, puppet building, costume and clothing design and beyond. Risa combines her performance and creation experience (and belief in expanding the imagination) with education.
