De La Cruz, Larry De La Cruz

has played saxophone with such musical legends as Doc Severenson (the Tonight Show Band), Kenny Werner, Branford Marsalis, Phil Woods, Bobby Hutcherson, Lou Rawls, The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Bay Area Rainbow Symphony and The San Diego Symphony. A partial list of CDs that he has played on are Rob Thorsen’s “First Impression,” Lua Hadar’s “Like A Bridge”, and Doug Beaver’s “Jazz Baby”. Larry’s rich experience as a performer and highly honed skills as a saxophonist and composer have made him one of the pre-eminent horn players on the San Francisco scene. Larry has been teaching saxophone, flute and clarinet for over 30 years, and is currently teaching privately at the Danville Music Store and at his home in Berkeley
