Blase, Denise Blase

Blase DeniseDenise is a dancer, singer, pianist, actress and teacher.  Her background in dance is diverse, ranging from tap, jazz, ballet, and modern to Middle-Eastern, West-African, Afro-Cuban and Creative Movement for Children.  She received her classical voice training at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and Cornish College of the Arts, in addition to years of private study.  As a pianist Denise has experience playing as both a soloist and as an accompanist for musical theatre and other soloists.  She is currently a church musician at First Unitarian Church of Oakland.  Denise is also an award winning veteran of the stage having performed in professional and community musical theatre throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area.  She and her husband Kyle, run a music enrichment program, Bay Area Fundamentals, bringing music and dance to preschool aged children in the East Bay.  Denise and her family live in Alameda where she teaches private piano and voice lessons out of her home studio.
