Sorgen, Zach Sorgen

 

Zach Sorgen is the lead singer, songwriter, and keyboardist of The Thirstbusters.  The band met in the Berkeley High Jazz Ensemble and has since won national songwriting awards, headlined the California State Fair, and placed songs on Disney, 90210, and in movies.  During high school, Zach also discovered his passion for musical theater.  He has played a lead role in Hair, Grease, and Godspell, and has also musical directed Spelling Bee and Mamma Mia (last year at Caz).  With 13 years of Jazz and Classical piano training, Zach was a Music Major at Vassar College, where he performed in an a cappella group, Jazz Band, and choir.  After graduating a semester early, he moved to L.A. to pursue Pop songwriting and teaches 13 weekly piano students.  Can’t wait to rock out with you all this summer!!
