Mundis, Marla Mundis

A native of Kansas who transplanted to Oakland, California in 1983 to attend Mills College, Marla continues to maintain her connection to Mills College as a Physical Education Instructor of Massage Therapy. After graduating from Mills College in 1987 with a BA double major in International Relations and German Studies, she decided that the best way for her to bring true peace and healing to the world might lie not in global diplomacy but rather by helping individuals and small groups to rediscover their own balance and inner peace though massage and healing work. Marla believes the world can be healed and transformed through each individual’s rediscovery of their connection to all beings through joy, love, gratitude and compassion.

Marla chose National Holistic Institute for her initial Massage Therapy Certification in 1990 and then continued studying many other massage and holistic healing techniques which include Shamanic Journey Apprenticeship, training in Chi Nei Tsang, Qigong, Tai Chi , Reiki, and a Master’s Degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in 2006; She continues to enjoy serving the Bay Area through teaching and her private massage therapy and energy medicine practice.
