Little, Liz Little

Liz Little is a Berkeley native and long time teacher. Liz has taught poetry in pre-school classrooms, at middle schools and in workshops for adults. “ Poetry is a creative way to express thought, experience, and emotion. It is an ancient art form that often transcends the original intentions of the writer and includes the reader as participant.” As a math teacher in the Berkeley Public schools for the last 11 years, Liz says she finds poetry and math to be complimentary practices. Each is a lens on the world that makes order and beauty out of seemingly random events. Visit participationpoetry.org for more information
