Daily free time activities include open mic, crafts, swimming, basketball, games, ping-pong, and softball. You can always practice or rehearse (except during quiet hour!). Many campers enjoy exploring Austin Creek, which runs through camp. For the more adventurous, a short drive can lead you to beautiful Pacific coast beaches, bike scenic state parks, canoe down the Russian River, visit wineries, golf, or visit historic Fort Ross, Guerneville, or other delightful, historic hamlets nearby.

Three delicious meals are served daily in our dining hall. Our food is local, fresh, and is organic as much as possible. A camp store sells snacks, drinks, staff merchandise, and other sundries.

There are several options for housing: tent cabins, dorms or tents.

Tent cabins, our signature lodging, accommodate up to six people comfortably, and come with deck, bed frames and mattresses. Families wishing to stay in tent cabins make up groups of four or more; smaller families buddy up with another family group or pay an extra fee.

A small number of dorm rooms are available, which accommodate two-three people.

Tent camping is available in designated areas throughout our site.

HIGH SPIRITS, SOARING REDWOODS

Family Camp community is warm, supportive, and casual. It can be either relaxing or active, depending on what you want.

Kids, parents, grandparents and friends mingle in classes, meals and evening programs. Enterprising folks create independent ensembles of dance, drama, written word and/or music for our daily Open Mic sessions or for Thursday’s Untalent Show (“Unusual, Unprecedented, but not Unrehearsed!”). Other folks hike, bike, sit by the river or on a deck to read, nap or bask in our beautiful natural setting.
